Wholesale window envelope manufacturers

When purchasing in bulk, you must specify the paper weight (GSM), typically ranging from 80gsm to 120gsm for standard office use. The window material should be high-clarity polystyrene or glassine to ensure barcode readability by postal scanners. Additionally, confirm the adhesive type, such as gummed, self-seal, or peel-and-seal, as this affects both shelf life and packing efficiency.

For high-volume mailings, compatibility is critical. Ensure the envelopes have side-seam construction rather than diagonal seams to prevent jamming. The window position and size must have a tolerance of +/- 1.5mm to align with your document's address block. Requesting a technical drawing (die-line) from the supplier before mass production is essential for machine calibration.

To meet global sustainability trends and regulations, prioritize suppliers offering FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC certified paper. For the European market, ensure compliance with REACH standards regarding the chemicals used in glues and inks. If the envelopes are for government or financial use, verify they meet ISO 216 (DL, C4, C5 sizes) for international standard dimensions.

Request samples to check for film wrinkle resistance and heat stability, especially if using laser printers which generate high heat. For privacy, specify a security tint (inside pattern); ensure the ink coverage is dense enough to make the contents completely opaque under bright light. A 5.0 review score on Made-in-China.com often indicates consistent quality in these fine details.

The biggest risk is moisture and humidity damage during sea freight, which can cause envelopes to warp or the adhesive to activate. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty corrugated outer cartons with internal moisture-proof plastic liners (polybags). For large wholesale orders, specify palletization with shrink-wrap to prevent crushing and facilitate easy unloading.

Wholesale pricing is highly sensitive to volume. Aim for tiered pricing where discounts of 10-20% kick in at 50,000+ units. For custom window placements, the MOQ is usually higher (e.g., 10,000+ units) due to machine setup costs. Negotiate for free plate-making or a reduction in setup fees for recurring annual contracts.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Conduct a third-party factory audit or request a production video to verify the supplier's capacity. Never transfer full payment upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is the industry norm for protecting buyer interests.

Envelopes are relatively heavy in bulk but take up significant space. Compare FOB (Free On Board) and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms. For wholesale quantities, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical. If you are a small retailer, consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to simplify customs clearance and avoid hidden local port charges.
