Zinc spray manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the Zinc Content in the dry film, which should ideally be above 85% to 95% for professional-grade cold galvanizing. Ensure the product offers cathodic protection to prevent rust creep. Other critical specs include drying time (touch dry within 10-15 minutes), heat resistance (up to 300°C-500°C), and salt spray test ratings (minimum 500+ hours) to guarantee long-term corrosion resistance in harsh environments.

For the US market, products should align with ASTM A780 (Standard Practice for Repair of Damaged and Uncoated Areas of Hot-Dip Galvanized Coatings). For global safety, ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and complies with REACH or RoHS directives to ensure the absence of heavy metals like lead or cadmium. Since it is an aerosol, it must meet UN1950 classification for the transport of dangerous goods.

Request the supplier to perform a Cross-Cut Adhesion Test (ISO 2409/ASTM D3359) to ensure the coating doesn't peel under stress. You should also ask for third-party lab reports regarding the coating thickness (measured in microns) and opacity. For B2B buyers, it is highly recommended to order a sample batch to test the nozzle consistency and ensure there is no clogging during continuous use.

If the application is for industrial steel structures or marine equipment, a high-purity Rich Zinc Primer is required. For automotive exhaust systems, look for High-Temperature Zinc Spray. If the goal is aesthetic matching with existing hot-dip galvanized parts, specify a 'Bright Silver' finish rather than the standard matte grey.

Zinc Spray is classified as Class 2.1 Flammable Gas (UN1950) because it is an aerosol. This means it cannot be shipped via standard air mail. You must use specialized dangerous goods (DG) sea freight or dedicated land transport. Ensure the supplier has a Dangerous Goods Declaration and uses UN-certified packaging to avoid customs seizures or heavy fines at the port of entry.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; typically, ordering a full pallet can reduce the unit cost by 15-20%. Negotiate for OEM branding (private labeling) which is often available for MOQs of 1,000 to 3,000 cans. Ask for 'Free on Board' (FOB) terms to maintain control over your shipping costs, especially given the complexities of hazardous material logistics.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the shipping documents are verified. Conduct a factory audit or request a video inspection of the production line to confirm the supplier is a legitimate manufacturer and not a small trading company with no quality control.

Aerosol cans are sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Ensure the contract specifies storage in a cool, dry place within the vessel (away from heat sources). Verify that the shelf life is at least 24 months and that the cans are fitted with safety caps to prevent accidental discharge during the vibrations of ocean transit.
