Plastic tablet bottle factory manufacturers

The most common materials are High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), known for its excellent moisture barrier and impact resistance, and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), which offers high clarity and gas resistance. For light-sensitive tablets, you must ensure the factory can produce amber or opaque bottles to prevent UV degradation. Always verify that the raw materials are medical-grade or food-grade (FDA compliant) to avoid chemical leaching.

A professional factory should operate under ISO 15378 (Primary packaging materials for medicinal products) which incorporates GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Additionally, look for ISO 9001 for quality management and CE or FDA registration for the products. If you are targeting the US market, ensure the factory can provide Child-Resistant Closures (CRC) that meet ASTM D3475 standards.

Request the factory to provide results for Induction Sealing tests and Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) reports. High-quality factories will offer bottles compatible with induction heat seal liners (pressure-sensitive or foam liners) to ensure a hermetic seal, which is critical for extending the shelf life of tablets and preventing tampering.

Ensure the factory supports Injection Blow Molding (IBM) or Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) for precise neck finishes and uniform wall thickness. They should offer OEM/ODM services, including custom mold development for unique bottle shapes and integrated branding through silk-screen printing, labeling, or embossing. Ask if they can provide integrated desiccant caps for moisture-sensitive formulations.

Utilize third-party inspection services (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on checking neck thread precision, cap torque consistency, and wall thickness uniformity. For secure transactions, consider using the Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of quality.

Plastic bottles are 'light cargo' (high volume, low weight), so shipping costs are calculated by volumetric weight. To optimize costs, negotiate nested packaging or use vacuum-sealed bags to reduce volume. Ensure the factory uses heavy-duty corrugated cartons and pallets with plastic wrap to prevent dust contamination and crushing during long-transit sea freight.

Confirm the correct HS Code (typically 392330) to determine import duties. Ensure the factory provides a complete Certificate of Analysis (COA) and a Declaration of Conformity with every batch. For the US market, ensure the factory is familiar with DMF (Drug Master File) filings, which may be required by your regulatory department for drug packaging approval.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on annual volume forecasts to secure lower pricing even if individual shipments are smaller. Standard lead times are 20-30 days; however, for custom molds, expect an additional 15-25 days. Always clarify Incoterms (e.g., FOB or CIF) to avoid hidden local port charges.
