Shirt pant manufacturers

For shirts, prioritize long-staple cotton or cotton-poly blends with a high thread count (e.g., 100s/2 or 80s/2) for breathability and durability. For pants, look for gram weight (GSM); formal trousers should be between 280-400 GSM, while casual chinos range from 200-300 GSM. Ensure the use of YKK zippers and reinforced stitching (at least 12-14 stitches per inch) to prevent seam failure.

Suppliers must adhere to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to ensure the absence of harmful chemicals. For the US market, compliance with CPSIA (especially for lead content in buttons/zippers) is required. For the EU, products must meet REACH regulations. Additionally, verify if the factory holds BSCI or Sedex social audits to ensure ethical manufacturing practices.

Standardize your requirements using detailed size charts (Asian, US, or EU sizing). Request pre-production samples (PPS) and conduct a fit session on live models or mannequins. Ensure the supplier uses CAD pattern-making software to maintain consistency across different batches and sizes.

Consider adding Non-Iron or Easy-Care finishes (ammonia treatment) for formal shirts to reduce wrinkling. For pants, Teflon coating for water and stain resistance or anti-pilling treatments can significantly increase the product's retail value and consumer satisfaction.

Always implement a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) such as DUPRO (During Production) or FRI (Final Random Inspection) before the final payment. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure funds are only released once the goods meet the agreed-upon quality standards.

Negotiate based on fabric utilization; ordering multiple styles using the same fabric can help lower the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Ask for a price breakdown (fabric, CMT - Cut Make Trim, accessories, and packaging) to identify where costs can be optimized. Aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

For large volumes, use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over shipping costs and choose your own freight forwarder. Utilize GOH (Garment on Hanger) containers for high-end suits/shirts to reduce ironing costs upon arrival, or vacuum packaging for casual wear to reduce volume and shipping fees by up to 20-30%.

Ensure you have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing tech packs or custom designs. Verify that the supplier has the right to export the specific brand labels you are using to avoid customs seizures. Check the supplier's Verified Status on Made-in-China.com to confirm their legal business scope and manufacturing capabilities.
